Bert Naudé, founder
Bert has spent 21 years building software on the Microsoft stack, across fintech, edtech, fleet telematics, banking and healthcare imaging. Bert founded Lagena to build software directly for the businesses that use it.
Why a flask?
Lagena (say la-GHE-na, with a hard g as in “get”) is Latin for a narrow-necked flask, used to hold and carry things like wine or oil. It is a good picture of what software should do: hold what matters and keep it safe on the way. That is why our logo is a flask.
